Although modern
in concept the decorative pattern in this lamp was taken from 'Household
Furniture and Interior Decoration executed from designs by Thomas
Hope', published in 1807. The combination of brightly coloured glass and
nickel-plate incorporating the early 19th century design, with the
addition of interior illumination, have given this lamp a dynamic feel
reminiscent of the Art Deco decoration.
