This gilded and scagliola lamp is drawn from elements of Ancient architecture. Throughout the history of architecture from the Roman period to modern day, the corinthian order has been borrowed by artists and architects alike for its highly decorative qualities, the Corinthian being the most feminine of the Classical orders.
